School Pictures

School year 2004-2005 is in 3 months over (july is their summer vacation this school year --- it falls on my birthday, to be exact :)) and so, here come all the class pictures of my kids.....

It is actually the last school year of my 2 kids in their old school and when they turn 4 yrs old this coming october, they will then be going to Basisschool (sort of kindergarden + elementary -- coz it's from 4 to 13 yrs old. So, here are some of kids' class pictures.

My eldest daughter sits in group 3 and she is one of the youngest kid in their class (infact, there's just 2 of them :)) if everything goes well then she's going to group 4 next school year otherwise, she stays one more year in grp.3 (which is fine coz she's still pretty young and what's important to us is that she enjoys school and she's really good in math ---- she probably got that from her "papa" coz I don't like math :)). anyway, here's her class pictures :

Shoarma ala mexicana

Wanna spice-up your usual shoarma?

Here's a simple (very, very simple:)) recipe which I made myself to make shoarma-marinated meat interesting --- an alternative to your usual shoarma.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Ingredients :

1 cup Shoarma meat (ready-made or you can also use a shoarma mix on pork cutlets)
1 1/2 cup Mexican vegetable mix
(see frozen section of the grocery stores or substitute with vegetable like kidney beans, string beans, red& yellow bell pepper and corn)
1 pc Egg (scrambled)
salt & pepper to taste

Procedure :

>> Fry shoarma meat until a little brown and then mix vegetables. Cook over medium fire and add egg last.
>> Season with salt and pepper.
>> Serve hot over rice.

Paaseitentoonstelling

What a long word, isn't it? well, it means sort of an Easter Exhibit.

Today we went to my eldest daughter's Easter Exhibit in her school to see the different easter themes which the kids (from all levels) made. Each group has to create something using egg(s) and each kid in every class has to make it themselves....the end result was pretty excemptional and the creativity is really good. My daughter is very proud of what she made and I praised her for a job well done!

Parents were given a piece of paper where all groups are written down --- they can pick one from each group (the one that they like most) ....the winner(s) will be announced and awarded.

So, here are the pics I took (there are 10 groups/tables so, take some time to look at all of them --- some of them looks the same to me though :))....don't ask me which one I like best because I will surely be bias anyway :)

The table from my kid's class/group....as you can see, my 3 kids here are busy searching for the one that my eldest daughter made.

The one on the right side is the one that my daughter made...she was really too eager to show it to us, pretty nice, pretty in pink!

So, the rest of the pictures here belong to the other groups, you can take your pick :)

One sunny day....

It was such a nice sunny sunday so I went to the playground with the kids...they really liked it so much and went really crazy playing with each other --- such a nice scene to see especially now that they are a lot more easier to handle (ok, they have to grow-up, dont they? :)) I still remember the time when I feel just staying inside the house because it's too difficult to bring everyone somewhere else but now, we can just go anywhere with all 3 kids without any problem at all --- and they like it a lot better this way (Im glad that they have always been so behave and they listen pretty good --- they have to :)).

So, it has been a nice day for the kids....I let them play for as long as they wanted and yep, it is indeed a great day! (--- I can just take some rest later when they all doze to sleep :))

And, to finally end such a nice day we went to McDonalds to eat ---- the kids were in such delight!

It's getting closer now...

Our vacation in the Phils. is definitely getting nearer everyday and I can't help but simply feel nostalgic because I will be seeing my family (and friends as well :)) again after 5 long years (the closer it gets, the more frantic I get --- devoting more on how much pasalubongs (gifts) I already have and if I did not forget anything --- ok, it's still more than a month before I go there but I just wanna make sure that I have everything I need to bring).

Yes, it's been that long and I can't imagine how everyone looks like my nephew (the only one) and my (8) nieces are surely all grown-up, I can hardly recall the last time I saw them (yes, it was during our wedding in the Phils.). I surely miss everyone and so I looked for pics and I'm posting some of them which were taken before I finally go to Holland (for the first time and it's been 7 yrs ago)....just pardon me for the quality of pics bec these are real pics I took with my digicam.

Me and my hubby --- 7 yrs back >>> surely changed a lot, huh. Posted by Hello

My ever loving Mom and Dad, can't wait to finally see them :) Posted by Hello

With my mom --- we're definitely alike in so many things, we love clothes and make-up(s), yes, we both cannot leave the house without looking good and all made-up ---- even if we're just going to the market or just hanging around the house ...it's been our ritual --- and yes, we are vain, vanity rules! :) .... Posted by Hello

and my dad....he likes wearing polo shirts with a front pocket, why? coz he always put his (too old...ancient rather :)) driver's license there with some old pics of us and some other impt. papers that he'd rather keep.....that's typical of my dad :) Posted by Hello

our last christmas in the Phils before leaving for Holland (for good ----and you bet, I did make the right choice :)). Posted by Hello

Me with one of my nieces --- she's still a baby here, she's 7 yrs old now....how time flies huh. Posted by Hello

All white!

It's snowing! finally......this is the first time it really snowed (a lot, I would say) since winter. We did not even had a white christmas but today, it feels like christmas :).

You will see a lot of kids on a sleigh and people are throwing snowballs everywhere. The kids are really enjoying this, not to mention my kids who were really really happy playing outside....in the snow! --- they don't even mind their wet gloves from playing and throwing snowballs. They even made a snowman. Yes, it's a truly remarkable day for my kids. My eldest daughter is always half-day in school but my twin daughters have to go to school every wednesday afternoon -- so, today, we went to school and I made a lot of pics.

this one is the bridge nearby our place....really nice pic, right? Posted by Hello

our frontyard, see how thick the snow here? might have a lot more snow tomorrow coz it's still snowing so far....the kids will definitely love it. Posted by Hello

My hubby was home early and he surprised the kids while they were still playing in the garden (after school ....who says they were tired already :)) Posted by Hello
